Can I replace the oil with applesauce?
Jennifer Hauler Try adding a ¼ teaspoon of applesauce. Depending the brand you used, the acidity may have affected the texture.
I will try that… however, I can my applesauce so I don’t know what the outcome would be
Linda D Trevino ⅔ of the measurement of the oil. Some applesauces are very watery, so as a general rule, I reduce the replacement measurement to compensate. Make sense?
@Diabetic Savvy with Davis Knight so if it needed 1 cup oil I use 2/3 cup of applesauce, right? I’ve started baking for our Bible study group and I want to be able to make sugar free as well as low fat treats. I’m enjoying your videos.
@Linda D Trevino Thank you so much! I am thrilled you’re enjoying them! You are correct. Just understand that there will be a slight change in texture, nothing major. If its fast you’re avoiding, Palos try avocado or coconut oils as well. Ss for the channel, I will be ramping up to 3 videos per week in February, starting a podcast and writing a cookbook, so awesome things coming!
Olive or cooking grease?
Vickie, vegetable oil, like canola. Its a neutral oil that won’t affect flavor. Thanks for asking, you rock!
