I'm revealing you how to browse the food store aisle when you get on a diabetic person diet plan. It's not practically getting reduced sugar and low glycemic foods, you have to check out the various other active ingredients and also make sure they are nutrient dense. It's additionally crucial to eat non-inflammatory foods when you have diabetics issues, or else your cholesterol can spike. Hope you appreciate this shopping overview for diabetics, let me recognize if you want to see more such as this … Mad love!

Great content. As a diabetic on a low carb diet I really appreciate all the knowledge you share. Love it! I will definitely get many of these next time I go shopping!
I have had Type 2 diabetes for over 20 years. I have had my ups and downs with food lots of times over these years. Thank you for sharing your food tips. The doctor tells you to eat healthy, but rarely explains effectively how to do it! Thank you again. So glad I came across your channel. ❤
❤️❤️ please keep up with the diabetic food products including at Whole Foods, Aldi and Kroger. I learn more from your videos because going onsite and showing comparisons on the food labels really explains the how and why. This is what people need instead of being handed a low carb, low glycemic, or low carb diet on a sheet of paper at the dr’s off. You are showing hands on what to eat and why. For me, I’m a hands on learner, as many people are and I really appreciate what you’re doing! Thank you!
My A1c (diabetes marker) went from 6.3 (prediabetic) to a very healthy 5.1 in less than a year by eating low carb, the way Bobby talks about. And I ate really good food and didn’t feel deprived. Once I realized I could have anything I wanted, I just needed to make a low-carb version myself, it was a game changer.
*My daughter drinks lots of water and urinates with the same rate, there are no other symptoms to show if those have anything to do with diabetes. This is a good information that I have gone through **Diabets.Care** She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*
I love these videos, it’s expensive to buy much of this food. I’d love to see a diabetic cook book with affordable stores. Many of us diabetics are older and are on fixed incomes.
A million thank you’s for putting out such a fantastic, informative video on foods for diabetics. I’ve recently learned that I must lower my sugar intake and became so overwhelmed with not knowing what foods to avoid. Thank you also for such detailed information on the nutritional values of various foods. You’re a godsend!!!
My family and I are trying to eliminate processed foods and chemicals from our diet and make healthier choices.. Your videos are hands down my favorite thing on Youtube and a lifesaver for anyone venturing into clean eating. I’ve learned so much from them and now know what to look for when reading the labels. Thank you! <3

What is, “stay type?”
Recently I’ve been told I’m pre-diabetes and my bad cholesterol is high. So finding you has made me feel a can get through this. Thanks. And for my mom, Go Cubs..
I understand the struggle first hand. I’m disabled and living on a poverty level amount of money. Because I live with my daughter, I don’t qualify for food help. It can definitely be expensive eating organic and grain free, etc. I think some of the most affordable ways to help yourself are to switch out your unhealthy cooking oils, eat that chickpea pasta and look into the dirty dozen vegetables and try to get organic in those at least. Aldi’s and Walmart has good options and he has videos for these. Oh, and look for simple ingredients on the label. The longer the ingredients, the worse it is. All the best! (Possibly find a farmers market or co-op…… and ask if they have used pesticides or not)
I found out yesterday that I’m pre-diabetic. I’ve decided to live and eat as if I were a Type 2 diabetic. This video is hugely helpful.
You nailed it on that one yeah I’m 51 years old I’m disabled and I have diabetes and of course being low income I don’t have any money left over to buy food that’s healthy fruits and vegetables are so high price only the wealthy can afford it and you’re right we who are on fixed incomes it’s not our fault that we can’t eat healthy like you said we’re on on limited incomes when we can’t afford this outrageous prices of vegetables and fruits and they’re always hounding us you need to be healthy you need to eat your fresh fruits and vegetables well then help us out give us more money I guess only the wealthy can eat healthy which is unfortunate
Recently diagnosed diabetic…and I just want to say thank you for this! You made this so simple. On the road to turning my health around! Thank you!
For diabetics, look at the CARBS, more than the sugar! One of those chocolate bars had 19 grams of carbs, while Bobby talked about the added sugar. ANY CARBS are what you need to watch out for! Otherwise, great video!
Have her get a blood test.
My fiancé and I just found out yesterday that he has diabetes after doing a physical for his new job and let me tell you… with his sugar and blood glucose levels SO high, we are terrified for his health. I’m SO glad I found this video because I know we NEED to change both of our diets (because I’m certain I’m borderline diabetic myself and obese) but I don’t even know where to begin to start; we don’t have insurance to pay for a dietician or nutrionist to provide the knowledge we need for what to avoid and what’s good to buy so we can successfully make healthier choices and changes. This video was posted in 2020 and it’s now 2022, so I doubt you’ll see this, but thank you for this! Your explanations were so informative and easy to understand; I literally took notes while watching so I could reference if I needed to! Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
At 69 and trying to make sense of shopping and preparing meals for myself is problematic what with all the scams as well. A new type 2 on a fixed income the cost is prohibitive. This us the best site I have seen. A book with a 30 day or weekly menu and prep on this site would be wonderful.
I was told I was pre-diabetic and I was taking steps to control my blood sugar and doing quite well until after Covid. Since having Covid my body has pushed gradually more and more aggressively into diabetes and recently I was told that I am full diabetic. That said I am so glad that you did the show and some of the other shows you’ve done because I am doing everything now even more so to bring myself back out of this. I do have a couple questions though. Number one you were recommending flaxseed and it is a good product however I’ve been told that your body cannot break down the seeds well and so you should always crack them first. Do you know if this is true?
Second question: I was told that A diabetic should not have almond milk. They said that it would spike your sugar I guess. Do you have any information on that? True or false?
Very true Brandy …You have said it all, What city are you watching from?

@Patricia Holloway keep in mind that most cities have funds for agricultural help. Check out the churches and senior centers for free produce giveaways. Call 211 and ask fir resources for seniors healthy eating. Food banks are often available too. You can do it. It just takes careful planning!
My grandson developed type 1 diabetes, at 18 months old. He was put on insulin immediately. Now, he is healthier and happier, entering kindergarten on an insulin pump/CGM.
Really informative and detailed video. Was feeling down about hearing my pre-diabetes results but now I’m feeling quite motivated that I can turn it around while making my new eating habits my new lifestyle. Thank you Bobby!
I’ve been binge watching every chance I get. For myself so I can mentally and physically start feeling better with more energy. My mother has type 1 diabetes and is now on a low potassium diet and she’s been feeling overwhelmed with finding good food but I think all these videos will help her optimism moving forward once we start cooking again
Type 2 can be caught, before blood sugars are found to be elevated; by testing insulin levels, as high insulin levels indicate presence of insulin resistance which is earliest stage of T2DM. Early diet modification can prevent progression to elevated blood sugars & disease.
Me and my mom found this channel the day I hit 6.5 on the A1C and was told I had type 2 diabetes, doctor said I could reverse it with exercise and good diet. Since the day me and mom found flavcity, we cut fast food and started eating right. 5 weeks in and I’m 30lbs down with my blood sugar went from 120s to 90s now! This is the content America needs!
@leaving YouTube. -forever- what meds are you on?
@leaving YouTube. -forever- see if ur doctor will add trulicity I’m on metformin too but the older I get it wasnt helping as much as when I was younger my doctor added .75 of trulicity and it lowered my AC1 from 8 to 6.5 in 2.5 months..and my daily numbers r much better in the low 100s now… diabetes sucks and can b challenging to control have u done the diabetes classes?
“Pre-Diabetic” is just a term that the ADA uses for various/political reasons (helps limit costs associated with diabetic care). A really good Endocrinologist (and you should find one now) will tell you truthfully that by the time you are deemed diabetic by ADA standards, you have already been diabtic for 5-10 years. That is, there is no such thing as “Pre-Diabetic”. You are diabetic now. Deciding to live and eat as a type-2 diabetic is very smart of you.

@Mark Jensen Thankfully I immediately went on a high protein/fat very low carb diet. I’ve lost 22 pounds and my bad cholesterol went down quite a bit. This way of eating has become habitual as opposed to a “diet”.
Thanks you fir the amazing way you explain food to us. You are amazing! I also had diabetic for a long time and what I found out is that 80% of the diseases we faced today can be effectively cured with food. Food kills and food cures. My A1C when from 12.6 to now 5.4. It was NOT EASY, BUT I CONQURE. THANK GOD. I have been bridging the gap with this phynominal whole food nutrition in a capsule and have had amazing results. Pre-diabetic for a year, and changing my diet has improved my health and Ive lost 40 lbs. This will help me stay “pre” and not progress to diabetic.
@yep sausage isn’t healthy because it’s a processed meat, high in nitrites. Nitrites prohibit healthy red blood cells and oxygenated blood flow, which is necessary for healthy arteries & organs, and so you don’t lose oxygen at the tips of your fingers and toes. Same thing goes for lunch meats and bacon, etc.
Animal fat, all oils, animal milk, milk products like cheese (this is for cow babies not humans). These fats will make you diabetic. Stop eating the fats, start eating potatoes, rice, beans, veggies… Whole Foods, plant based will reverse your diabetes. Check out Dr. McDougal, Dr. Esselstyn, Mastering Diabetes (Cyrus and Robbie), Dr. Barnard, Dr. Fuhrman…
I have been doing amazing since I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes but having this available, gives me such a variety of different things. I was getting so bored with the foods that I thought were the only ones that I could have. This is very close to a keto diet but much better. Thank you for taking the time to help people like me learn more, like more, and be healthier
Same here.
So much info online…recipes…etc
Were you on metformin?
Yes. I’m very surprised Bobby wasn’t more clear about that.
Wow, over 50% of Americans don’t even know that they will end up being diabetic. Thank you Bobby! I was just at the store yesterday and there is so much to learn when you are a diabetic, I appreciate you supporting us diabetics.
These doctors really be lying to us every diseases you can beat it
@SandyDYou can follow Dr. SEBI alkaline on YouTube just cut alot of Sugar and salt intake just drink more water and green tea and also drink warm apple cider vinegar/cinnamon water morning on a empty stomach and before bed
Really you just need to look at NET carbs. Lily’s has carbs but after you subtract fiber, sugar alcohols it is very low carb.
Wow that’s amazing, I asked my doctor if I could reverse my diabetes and he told me no. I was diagnosed last year in January.
I love Steele cut oats
